The Kavli Summer Program in Astrophysics (formerly ISIMA) was founded in 2010 by Pascale Garaud, professor in Applied Mathematics at UC Santa Cruz. The overall governance of the program is overseen by the Executive Committee composed of faculty from various departments at UC Santa Cruz.
